The Montegrotto Terme European Gospel Festival Contest 2026 celebrates the artistry, passion and spiritual power of Gospel music.
European choirs with a strong stage presence, authentic Gospel identity and powerful vocal energy will be selected to perform live before an international audience.

The 360 WORKSHOP
All participants in the Gospel Contest are invited to join a unique two-day workshop designed exclusively for Gospel choirs and musicians.
Led by renowned American teachers, vocalists and musicians, the 360° Workshop offers a complete musical experience focused on:
• Learning a brand-new Gospel repertoire
• Developing vocal harmony, rhythm and groove
• Improving interpretation and stage performance
• Building connections and collaborations among choirs from different countries
A rare opportunity to grow musically, share inspiration and experience the authentic energy of Gospel in an international context.

Who will be the European Gospel Choir of the Year 2026?
The Festival crowns the Best European Gospel Choir of the Year.
The top choir — selected by an international jury of respected Gospel artists and gospel professionals — will receive an official Festival Award and a €2,000 cash prize.
Special Award “Città di Montegrotto Terme”
A brand-new Festival award!
One choir — chosen directly by the public vote — will receive the “Città di Montegrotto Terme” Special Award and a €500 prize.

About the Festival
The Montegrotto Terme European Gospel Festival is first and foremost a friendly international competition for Gospel choirs.
Its main purpose is to build meaningful connections among choirs from all over the world — creating a space to learn from each other, share experiences, and celebrate the spirit of Gospel together.
Through music, collaboration and cultural exchange, the festival promotes unity, joy, and the universal message of hope that Gospel music brings.
Our mission is to create a genuine meeting place — an international hub for Gospel choirs — where artists can connect, learn, share experiences, and immerse themselves in the authentic Gospel tradition.
We exist to bring choirs together:
to connect, to learn, to share, and to express the living, soulful way of making Gospel music.
We learn directly from those who keep this tradition alive.
We celebrate choirs who approach Gospel with humility, respect and truth, embracing its spiritual and cultural essence.
Over the years, it has created an international network of choirs from Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Italy, becoming a vibrant space for cultural exchange and shared inspiration.
Organised in partnership with the Municipality of Montegrotto Terme, the festival supports the town’s vision to become a recognised centre for Gospel music and culture in Italy and Europe.
